The Network
Ethlos has taken a whole new approach to SaaS/PaaS application distribution. With almost all sites (at least that we're aware of) such as Sonar, all users login to their workspace by accessing a shared "communal" server cluster that houses the web files that they access. We however, take a totally different approach. We have produced a highly specialized Operating System Image, that upon creation of each workstation fires up a "cloud server instance" that's installed with the online web GUI, database application, and other server features required for your workspace to operate. Which means, your workspace and the resources required for the web server to serve them to you are always available. No need to worry about other workspaces choking down your workspace due to high volume. Additionally, the workspace owner gets to literally choose which physical location their workspace resides in to ensure the lowest possible latency to the location where the service is actually consumed.
Workspace Server Upgrades
This is perhaps the best part of our system overall. As you grow, and more calls, texts, and chats occur, your server resources no doubt get consumed. We make the process completely painless. With a few clicks of a button, waiting about 5 to 10 minutes and then your workspace cloud server rebooting, more CPU cores, memory, storage, and bandwidth (data transfer) become instantly available. No reinstalling anything, no advanced linux partitions to add, it just works and is made available to you. No muss, no fuss. Our workspaces instances start at 1 CPU Core, 1 GB of Memory, 25GB of Storage, and 1 TB of bandwidth. Our top end workspace right now top out with 24 CPU Cores, 96 GB of Memory and 12 TB of Bandwidth.
Highly Customizable Workspaces
Another big advantage of building our PaaS the way we do, is it allows us to customize the HECK out of EVERY workspace to custom suit its needs for Enterprise Plans. This includes, but is not limited to, GUI changes, application changes, setting your own colors and fonts, using your companies logos and artwork, and even customizing all manner of internet connected hardware as long as it has SSH access. This is an invaluable feature for WISPs, FISPs, ISPs, Utility Companies, and any business the constantly monitors hardware. Being able to have simple easy communication with BOTH staff and infrastructure is something no other PaaS (that we're aware of) does. Most times in rural areas all over the world, texting and/or cellular/mobile data is the only way those rural folks have to access the outside world.
Datacenters
We have taken great care to select very specific datacenters in enough cities, 32 in all as of the date this page was made. This variety gives all our subscribers a datacenter option for their workspace that resides physical and geographically much closer to them allowing for much faster load times and ping times.
